February 22, 1907 – Donn Beach born as Ernest Raymond Gantt. He is long revered as the father of Tiki Culture and Polynesian pop.
May 5, 1862 – A battle in which Mexico was outnumbered and defeated the better trained French Army. In the 1980s Mexican beer companies would find a way to make this a celebration known as “Cinco de Mayo”.

December 10, 1902 – Victor Jules Bergeron, Jr born, known best as “Trader Vic”, one of the founding fathers of Tiki.
December 26, 2004 – Indian Ocean Tsunami kills nearly 250,000 people across continents and affecting over a dozen countries. It is considered the worst earthquakes and/or natural disasters in recorded history.
