[January 14, 2022 – Elmwood Park NJ]
If nothing else, this is a simple retro roadside attraction which has been untouched for over half a century. Once inside, you will just see a few picnic tables, and an indoor counter that more closely resembles a boardwalk eatery than your typical pizzeria of today.
The pizza itself is fantastic. It is simple, it is thin, it is delicious. The best part is, it is fairly cheap at $3 per slice (that is with tax). This is no frills, the way it should be. No flop on the crust. It needs no folding so it does not buckle and the cheese falls off. Because there is the perfect balance of crust, cheese and sauce, it is practically guilt free to have just one every time you pass by this iconic spot on Rt. 46 West in Elmwood Park NJ.
